Projects and Measures in Switzerland

The aim is to get as many people and institutions in Switzerland to participate in the Euro 2008 event. A wide array of measures will be needed to ensure that this happens. Projects that are being coordinated throughout Switzerland – and even some in Austria – should be focused in the preparatory phase on the important health, social, cultural and economic values of sports. The TP 04 deals with the following areas of activity: fan management, Switzerland as host, promotion of sports and movement in the schools, promotion of sports and movement among the broader population and prevention. In order to ensure sustainability, these projects and measures will be co-ordinated with existing national programmes in education, health, culture and the sports sector as well as with projects for fan management (prevention of violence) on both the national and European levels. Within the overall context, the TP 04 specifically supports the subprojects, 01 Security and 03 national promotion, on the national level.
