Here you can take a boat ride even when it’s raining! And the puzzling cavern of the large subterranean lake was first discovered and researched in 1943 by Jean-Jacques Pittard. The 300-meter-long, 20-meter-wide and 10-meter-deep cavern was opened to the public only 6 years later and a 40-seat boat provides passengers a most unusual sight to see!

The most famous of course is Switzerland’s Matterhorn, which reaches for the sky at a height of 4,478 meters - although it is not the highest in Switzerland. The first men to reach the summit of the Matterhorn were a group of seven mountaineers on July 14, 1865, led by Edward Whymper from Great Britain. And four of these seven men died on the way back.
