It is located in Switzerland or, more precisely, in the canton of Grisons. We are talking about Davos (1,560 metres above sea-level). The winter and summer resort is internationally known for its World Economic Forum (WEF). In winter, skiers and snowboarders get their money’s worth on the slopes of Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn and Parsenn. Plus, there is the freeride area at Pischa. During summer popular activities include mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, golf and other outdoor adventures.

Samnaun, located in eastern Grisons at the Austrian border, is a duty-free zone. Liquors, clothes, watches, jewelry, food, gasoline and tobacco are sold at duty-free prices. Moreover, Samnaun is a popular destination for winter and summer tourists.

The French, you might think. But it all depends on the standard. Did you know that in Switzerland you can stay overnight in a mine silo?
The iron mine silo of the former mine at Herznach underwent a stylish renovation in 2002. The silo is the centrepiece of a unique gastronomic experience. How about bed & breakfast in a silo? Herznach lies between the host cities of Zurich and Basel in the canton of Aargau. Basel can be reached by bus and train in 50 minutes, Zurich in 55 minutes.

Where does the most expensive watch come from?
Priced at 6.6 million Swiss Francs (4.1 million Euro), a watch by Swiss watchmaker Patek Philippe holds the world record. For the
1415 HU single piece, a platinum world time watch, an Asian collector forked out the millions and made the wristwatch world famous.

Of 4,700 agreements. The Geneva Convention goes back to Henri Dunant, founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The Geneva Conventions are inter-governmental treaties and constitute a major part of international law for humanitarian concerns. They include binding rules for the protection of civilian persons in times of war or armed conflict.
